I made an error; “I’m limited to knowing the world through my senses” - wrong; said better - everything I know comes from what I know from my sense knowledge ; but clearly after acquiring that I can use my limited intellect to draw conclusions that themselves are not directly knowable through the senses. Eg I can come to know the earth is round as a truth (even if my vision is insufficient at any one time or place to see that roundness) by (carefully) stitching together different pieces of knowledge. But if I want to be sure I really know this (not just take it on faith) I would need to trace back how I know each stitch is real - which would have to lead me to sense knowledge at the end of each thread if I was seeking truth not mere faith.
