As pointed out below, a majority of Ohioans are "something else," just because of the way our system works. Technically we have Schrödinger's party affiliation: a voter is a member of EVERY political party until they choose one by voting in a primary (and the affiliation only lasts two years). Because most people don't vote in primaries, most Ohio voters are Unaffiliated, even though most of those have strong partisan leanings.
