(0) Why should scientists care about philosophy?
Because naturalist philosophy is informed by and engages with the latest insights that science delivers. Both evolve hand in hand.
This kind of philosophy makes you a better researcher, because it will guide your practice and make you understand what you unique contribution to a field can be.
It also disabuses you of physics envy. Theoretical physics is really weird, and not a good model for any other science...
