The other good news is that I have a team of people at a university hospital who I've consulted with, a very experienced heart valve specialist (he only does open heart and TAVR valves), and every lab and imaging procedure at the hospital has been superbly handled by kind people. So our costs and access might suck in the U.S., but really wonderful people still provide care.
