Legislators should not make Israel the centerpiece of their campaign personas. It is poison to Republican primaries. Because everyone can at least guess that when you are introducing anti-Israel legislation that will never pass, you are not legislating about the issues that matter to them. You are wasting your very limited legislative bandwidth on issues that do not improve the lives of voters. People want to see their legislators working on crime and jobs. You can be anti-Israel, and quite successfully so, but you cannot make it the center of your personality and win a Republican primary. Because legislators right now can do fuck-off about Israel anyways. And bills like Massie's anti-dual citizenship in Congress bill are facially ridiculous. There are no dual citizens in Congress. The dual citizens are donating to Congresspeople. It's things like these that make sophisticated voters who don't guzzle blackpills from Nick Fuentes and Tucker Carlson think that your anti-Israel position is just a way to do kick streamer style stunts for votes.
MTG, Casey Putsch, Massie, Fishback, and Bilzerian are out. These are not viable political campaigns. What's sad is they all could have won if they had focused on the kind of issues that are important to primary voters, and their position on Israel was just background noise. Every time anti-Semitism or Israel is mentioned, it should have been waved away with "you are trying to distract voters from my infrastructure and crime plans with tawdry sound bytes for nuanced political issues." Instead they made obsession over Jews their entire political platform. And that's not going to put you in Congress.
