For future reference, if you want to make a dog vomit, get them to swallow some ordinary hydrogen peroxide. It doesn't take much, a tablespoon or so is plenty. Keep a small plastic syringe on hand for this purpose. Squirt it down the hatch, wait 10 seconds, and Fido's barfing.
I had a dog swallow a metal bottle cap once, and this was the advice the vet gave me. That bottle cap came back up almost instantly.
