Okay, I get you. One concern is that I'm not keen to just publish my home's IP address. That's why I was planning on keeping the VPS I'm renting, pointing my DNS records to that, and have that talk to my machine back home that's actually running the services.
I suppose the difficulty then is that the responder server isn't on the same LAN as the server actually hosting the applications.
