Its about what has happened throughout history to women, set in an evangelical modern American setting.
Everything they do in the movie, has happened to women and minorities in our history.
But it happens to white people. So they feel it.
Sami are white, but share the same DNA with Inuits and Russian #indigenous, even the Japanese first nations. Still fighting for our land, sterilised by the scandinavians. Slaughtered by the Russians and Germans.
