I'm still tweaking the terrain shader until I get something closer to what I need, but in the meantime I started making simple placeholder assets to use on the world map, to indicate towns and other areas. They also have to use vertex displacement, or else they'd be hovering above the terrain and getting higher as the Player moves away. Like the elderly dude's house from Up. Sounds fun, bit impractical.
