There are two narratives playing out in the media right now:

One, that voters make important, political decisions based on gut-level emotion and not intellectual rigor or logic. They react off vibes, not policy.

Two, that Harris needs to get into the weeds and explain her policy positions so voters will know who she is and what she believes.

I am not at all convinced anyone but the media is crying out for the second. Who are the voters waiting for policy papers?
