The Replaced were cajoled into early retirement and then pushed out to allow economic transformation. Struggling to get government and corporate jobs, they created their own businesses. Many pivoted into consulting to bridge the skills gap and do their old job for more.
The Replaced ended wealthier than before and more independent of government wiles.
