Taylan Kammer (npub1y2c…25vu) Hoss “Cyber Jester” Delgado (npub1scj…el3p) My understanding of why CP is illegal in the first place, is that its production harms children... you know... the subjects.
And that's the same logic being used here, that oddly enough, if that analysis is correct, makes it harder to legislate against fake pizza. It's basically the same loophole the loli people use.
It'd be illegal to post taylor swift getting plowed by oscar the grouch but it would not make it illegal to post a Mrs. Generic Woman getting plowed by oscar the grouch.
The logic is that it harms the subject, in this case, their reputation. So what's the difference, then, between AI/photoshop images of taylor swift being plowed by oscar the grouch, and AI/photoshop images of taylor swift kicking a puppy?
And taylor swift is a public figure. Once it's illegal to generate/photoshop anything damaging to her reputation, even though she's a public figure, that same protection can be (loosely, they have less protections than celebrities) applied to politicians.
