I don't know, I guess I can't suspend disbelief long enough to be fine with that. I think a lot of it's the weird "idol culture" surrounding it. If you want to use it as a mask to act goofy, or even try to play a role, sure. Just make sure you can pull it off. And if you outgrow it? Maybe it's time to find a new schtick.
