Scammers gonna scam. Damus auto-signs you up for a coinos wallet which seems great at first. You will receive zaps, but try sending those sats to a different wallet, and it really doesn't work for large amounts. I had to do this via on-chain transaction which cost weeks worth of zaps in fees. #nostr isn't failing because of the idea or the technology, the ruling class is just as corrupt as our government and the old bitcoin. So I think there will be an inevitable schism or split that is required for it to really thrive

Reading more into it, they invalidated a bunch of keys due to a data breach. But the question remains are these data breaches random or planned backdoors. I found out a while ago that transferring large amounts of sats via lightning out of coinos does not really work. So it's kind of like Hotel California, you can stay but not really leave
