thanks!! I was thinking LTO-6 if I can score one for a halfway decent price, I think that would work better for the data volumes I’m working with without spilling out to silly numbers of tapes.
Good to know about the speed/shoe-shine thing, I had not encountered that as a possibility yet. What kind of IO speeds are we talking here, if you have a good sense?
