Internally, not released to the public, there is a Meta (Facebook) Web Browser, and it is based on Chromium. I can absolutely see Mark Zuckerberg wanting to make that official for public release.
Having said that, while I agree with the government, that Google needs to be broken up. My issue is anyone who has the capital to buy portions of Google, including Chrome, would not be good for the consumer. Some of these assets just simply would cost too much, since they are worth a lot. If the government wanted to see portions of Google to end up with non-profits, for example, they should have broken up Google years ago.
