The IDF struck a Reuters camera and killed their cameraman, Hussam al-Masri. The IDF then put out a statement saying they struck a "Hamas camera."

Reuters dutifully reported that claim in its headline as if it had any credibility at all. Reuters is quite literally willing to call itself Hamas if Israel asks it to.

Reuters has published a report today headlined "Initial inquiry says Hamas camera was target of Israeli strike that killed journalists" even though the "camera position" that was attacked was the site where Reuters' own live feed was being provided by their own journalist.

Even their featured image is captioned "Equipment used by Palestinian cameraman Hussam al-Masri, who was a contractor for Reuters, lies at the site where he was killed..." but the first paragraph of Reuters' own report reads:

"An initial Israeli military inquiry has concluded that troops struck what they believed to be a Hamas camera position in Monday's attack on a Gaza hospital that killed five journalists..."
