I’ll say this as level-headed as I can - I disagree with their rhetoric.

With that said, Core blowing up the OP return limit DID expose a vulnerability of Bitcoin, which is that rules governing the storage of arbitrary data at a consensus level are too loose.

The actions of Luke, Mechanic, Kratter, and those like them are in my opinion a reasonable immune response to the ordinal fiasco of 2023, the inscription spam, and now the weakening of consensus around OP return relay policy.

It’s frustrating and upsetting to see Bitcoiners I respect on both sides become so torn up about what should be a non-existential technical problem which has viable potential solutions.

What’s it going to take to move forward on this issue? It’s bad for the network if so many legit people in this space to fork off.
