I transitioned to GrapheneOS on a pixel so while I don't have any limits, I never reinstalled any google apps or things like twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
I also use Mullvad VPN and have all the DNS content filters turned on so most social media, gambling, or adult content is unreachable.
Ultimately there is always a way around a filter so self control and outdoor hobbies are also very important.
