It is not the state that is the problem, rather it is the size of the state that is the problem.

If left unchecked and uncontrolled the size of the state will grow to fill whatever void or vacuum you leave for it to grow.

Your non participation in a state, does not halt or contain its growth it will only grow beyond your non participation and ultimately it will control you whether you acknowledge its legitimacy or not.

Leaving decisions of others to whether the state will grow or not , is not galaxy brain material, in fact it is rather naive, because others will always elect to opt for state growth, merely because of the perceived benefits.

Democracy is far from perfect, on the whole it doesn’t seem to work, yet it is still the best out of the rest.
