a form of jury nullification saved my mama from prison, or even death, for something she absolutely did. Given a choice of 3 levels of guilty because 'the facts of the case were not in dispute,' they instead acquited her and she came home to us that very day.
She was a complicated woman but i am so very glad we 6 (later 7) siblings got to stay together and still look out for each other to this day.
