Am winging it in my balcony garden. I expect everything to die and don’t know what to expect when something survives. So I’m in a puppy-like state of constant joy & surprise.

This delicate bloom has just emerged from a robust broad-leaved plant that I planted without catching its name. I didn’t know it flowered. The lovely leaves alone made me happy. The flower looks like no relation. It looks as if it wouldn’t even speak to them if it met them on the street.
