You might want to have your tiny violin handy, but these are my worst days as a manager:
1. When I have to fire someone.
2. When I have to interview someone who it's immediately obvious isn't going to get the job.
3. When I have to carry out a performance review for someone who's not doing a good job.
Yes, those are bad days for them, but what about me?! I've spent the past 2 hours letting someone know that I'm unhappy with their work. I'm completely knackered.
