As it stands, the tag is pretty useless for anything other than lowering bandwidth. It's a drop in replacement for itunes:image or the image tag (which at least has a height attribute). It's limited to only a single count, and the precedence in podcasting is that image is a square image. It could be expanded to be actually useful for something many people have been asking for for, which is video thumbnails or banner images by changing the count to multiple and adding a ratio.
