I got to play with one of these to-day. It is a Genie GS-1932 scissor lift. It can extend to a working height of 7.64m, & collapses down to just over 2 metres. It is reassuringly heavy at just under 1.3 tonnes. I was glad to know about this weight when working at 7m. as it wobbles around . So, a solid anchor is reassuring.
It is very manoeuvrable, and can turn on a sixpence, very much like a forklift. Unlike a forklift, it is more difficult to drive because there isn't a fixed driving position.
