"content": "Running and poets. Moving through the land, we reflect on it. Running is so visceral, when I think of the route or the training or the landscape it's either immediate (and felt, not thought) or through some kind of reflection. Ashbery knew the power of the mirror to situate and illuminate, and turned his study into a world view. Here in Montana, my Cali home is just in my mind's eye - grinding through this second half of life.
