I find extremely cool that Mastodon is European, that is good, but consider that people from the USA also need to get away from the corporate social networks, I am happy that they are here.

Also, the fediverse is OLDER than Mastodon. I have been in the fediverse since before mastodon was created, and many of my contacts too.
Incidentally, the inventors of the fediverse are also european.
