It’s actually a whole series. And yes, I can definitely recommend it. It’s not great literature, but the kind of novels that really draw you in and make you want to keep reading.
You learn a lot about the period in Norway when the railway line across the mountains was being built. At the same time, another storyline takes you to the Congo during the First World War. Both historical settings are fascinating and kept me thoroughly engaged.
