I was recently introduced to this valuable dashboard, monitoring how much renewable energy has to be artificially constrained (‘curtailment’ they call it) because there isn’t grid capacity to distribute Scottish renewables into the English grid. There’s an eye watering economic cost in this wastage because generators have to be compensated for being unable to deliver their licensed output.
