I think the overlap is when you're trying to get the tool to do something so you don't have to learn it, like asking your buddy to write a paper for you, and that is setting you up for bombing the next unit when involves some foundational understanding you'd need to even tell if the answer is correct.

That last part is a good discussion angle because it's not giving up a tool, especially one which can be really amazing for e.g. ELL students, but learning how to use it safely.
