I experienced the betrayal and cruelty of the music industry both 1st and 2nd hand. How it crushed up and coming musicians and the abusive mental effect it had on them which carried on for years afterwards. Personally, I couldn't cope and eventually gave up.

So web dev it was. I would call working in technology more of a controlled toxicity, where music was a chaotic one. Even so, after a few years in it, it punished both my mental and physical health.
