Oregon state has had vote by mail for over two decades, and it works exceptionally well. Not only can I fill my ballot out at any hour of the day, with no line to stand in, but I also signed up for notifications so I get a text like this when my ballot it is sent, when it is received back, and when it is counted.

If you live in a state that doesn't have vote by mail, heavily lobby your state legislation to move to do it. It also prevents a lot of voter suppression!
