Imagine looking at just the photos alone and being asked what may have happened there or why there were no locally unique designs w/r/t architecture and decoration. The 1800s to early 1900s look suspiciously like some reset/cataclysm ripped through various nations and forced them to start again. It explains the ruins, the wooden sheds, the “used looking” materials of allegedly new constructions.
I’m pretty sure fires or earth quakes wouldn’t be the first guesses as to what you’re seeing here:
