Q: Why do we still call a Web browser or client "User Agent" when they're not really acting on behave of the users these days?
A: Is that really the original meaning of "User Agent"? I always understood "agent" as in "an autonomous entity that works according to its own logic and goals", the standard technical definition in simulation and modeling. I see no contradictions here...
