Tornado Cash stopped being useful when regulators took a short look at it, and Tether has since frozen literally billions of dollars of USDT. Exchanges will no longer touch any outputs related to Tornado’s contract. Tornado is a great demonstration of why a small subset of a protocol having privacy features is unsustainable, and only works as long as nobody is seriously looking. It breeds censorship.
