This is all to say, when I first read the "avoiding AI is neoliberal purity culture take" it raised my hackles. On reading the replies to Cory wherein people weren't even engaging with the fact that he's using self-hosted AI, I gotta admit, he kinda does have a point. There are some people avoiding AI out of a sense of purity culture.

But for me, I'm avoiding it because I'm just not impressed by it. I don't see a way to use any of these tools in my regular life and work.
