Yeah what most people fail to understand is all these "creative professions" have one thing in common that separates the truly great & successful from the mediocre faggots-with-a-laptop:
Innate talent.
Some people genuinely have it, and it shows in their work. Doesn't matter how skilled at keyboard shortcuts and software you are, if you don't have talent you will never win. I *think* I have innate artistic talent, and I'm working my ass off to make myself successful for my family, but I'll tell you this....as much as I may look down on myself and as much as I still have to learn about all these creative hats I wear.....I am STILL 100% better than 99% of morons out there with a Macbook in their bedroom.
I had a meeting with a client who didn't want a landing page from me for his podcast bc "his nephew could do it". After pressing, said nephew is 15 and "knows Wix". Never built a page for a podcast, never coded a custom playlist, doesn't know proper layout for high conversion rates, but he would do it for 50 bucks. I sold the client using my expertise I had gained after a decade of success and failure.
