Looking at it purely from memetics, I believe it's nothing more than an elaborate ploy to be remembered and talked about after death. Whatever real opinions this monster may have had, they clearly all came secondary to drawing as much attention as possible and causing as much chaos to the victims and observers.

I have nothing but contempt for people like that, but I will feel just as angry at whichever media pundits take this story and selectively use the gibberish slogans on the guns to try and score political points. The best thing to do is pray for the families of the victims and leave his memory in the ash, because he explicitly wants the opposite.
