I spent years listening to those men, seeking their "wisdom" & believing their "insight", & it was the biggest goddamn waste of time.
It was ephemeral. It had the appearance of meaning & logic, but it was without foundation.
But these men lived in this world of abstraction where they traded their "ideas" for status & money, constantly networking with each other, reinforcing each other's self-aggrandizement, & excusing each other's abuses.
That's what Chris Nolan hype reminds me of.
