I'd add a few things. 1) laws are by definition abstract for the very reason they have to be generally applicable or be useless; 2) due process is two words: "due" and "process". What process is "due" is variable and sometimes the process is getting a bullet in your head if you break into my house; 3) equal protection under the law is not the same thing as disregarding evidence of criminality such as disregarding tattoos denoting affiliations with criminal enterprises; and 4) I also do not want to suspend the constitution to expedite justice, but I do believe we can expedite justice without doing so relative to prior administrations.
