I'm some sort of commie. I have never, ever used DoorDash, Lyft, or Uber for anything. Last time I went to NYC, I insisted on using yellow cabs instead of Uber, even though Uber was supposedly cheaper.
When the starter went out on my car while I was 90 miles from home, I ordered a replacement from Advance Auto Parts with "same day delivery." They sent it through some UPS ride share service with a sub-80 IQ negress who took two days to find the place I was staying.
