I once saw a video of someone claiming no #indiedev studios are touching JRPGs because that type of game is extremely difficult and labor intensive to produce.
I don't know much about JRPGs and have only played four Final Fantasy games, but they seem to be about the most simple game there is, other than maybe some platformers or mobile games.
Sounds like total nonsense.
