I don't particularly hate, if I got excited about stupidity I would never be calm again, but there is quite a bit of folly here. First, the cost is between $150 and $250, I believe, and to spend that much is not terribly reasonable. You might as well just light the money on fire if you want, at least you might get warm by it. Secondly, it's like having a sign up "I'm a target, go for it". It's become a kind of sport, at least in the UK, to grab peoples' phones out of their hands on a scooter. If I suddenly took over Fagin's job, I would tell my workers to look out for these and follow whoever had them, assuming these things are visible which, since this is Apple, is a good guess.
