trump dying for any reason would actually be a huge boon for the republican party. an assassination would just be a bonus.
right now, they have the issue of the actual man conflicting with the mythos of who they need him to be.
trump dying would allow his mythos to be distilled into pure ideology without concern for how it pairs with material reality
the next GOP candidate after trump will be built off this refining and terrifies me far more than trump himself
not because i see trump as inept - although you can make that argument. it's why de santis terrifies me far more.
but because trump is, to some extent, still human, not birthed straight from ideology. he still has some disagreements with how people want to use him, whether or not he goes along in the end.
the next GOP candidate will fit perfectly in the machine.
