magic systems (thread)
I was resisting, but I guess I’ll talk about my system…
I wanted one seemingly logical, yet mysterious, a consistent system that included consequences and limitations.
There’s always a price, no matter how small.
It’s tempting to make everything possible, but that’s terrible for storytelling. Likewise, limiting it to a portion of the population means most fear it, making magic wielders outsiders.
