>>And it's not the people posting 'really excited to be here, can't wait to use this freedom tech'.<<

Agreed. That's almost a will-be-gone-soon-too-normal flag.

>>it's just often not here to be found<<

Agree, in aggregate. But I am not the only one who sometimes posts such material in fits and starts, but then peters out, again, from the lack of interaction that ensues. The discovery would have to be much faster, so that the people posting such stuff get positive feedback, quickly, but I think we need forums et al, to achieve that.

>>But yeah bitcoin posts are the rent you pay to some extent for exposure.<<

Agreed, and I really benefited from that, as I'm interested in Bitcoin, even if I'm not really part of "Exiled Bitcoin Twitter".

>>posting absolutely anything and it being considered 'trending'<<

TTTHHHHIIIISSSSS!!!! 🤣

I absolutely hate that, even if it's my own "nothing post" trending, as it completely destroys any sense of intimacy.

I've become completely preoccupied with "targeting my message at different audiences" because of this. I want to be able to post a sweeping article with the same npub and have everyone and their mamma see it, but not have that happen with my "Long day, on the rag, sense of humor dead, olives taste so much worse, on the way up," Stammtisch venting post.

I've actually managed to achieve something like this, by writing to specific relays, and writing with a smaller npub and then boosting with a larger one.
