"What's so funny is that when she's at the vet, she actually behaves. She got her first sub-q treatment like nothing was happening to her."

She handled it at the vet, so she can handle it. It sounds like she most likely just knows/learned how to negotiate her way out of it at home.

If you can do it without wrapping her up in the towel, less invasive treatments will probably be easiest for her, but if the towel works keep using it.

Yes, it's a very hard choice in weighing the pros and cons and deciding what's best for both of you. It was super hard for me, but in the end I saw my boy feel so much better after treatments, so I bucked up and did what I had to do for him.

I only stopped treatments after about a year and a half, when the fluids stopped absorbing...(this was the end of the line for him). The fluids would just stay pooled or would leak out and down his back. this was around the time he stopped eating and drinking. At that point his kidney disease had progressed past what sub q could do for him.

So I did sub q for as long as I could see that it made his life better. It sounds like that's your plan too. Good luck with her and try squeezing the bag to get the fluid in and treatment over faster! That might help her tolerate the sessions better.
