She helps me up; her colleague is on the phone outside the house. Guided by my verbal directions, the policewoman steers my still-wobbly steps to the kitchen and seats me at the dining table. The glasses are sitting there; she takes one, fills it at the fridge, and hands it to me. It’s nothing special, but cold. It helps immediately; my vision clears up a bit. It’s almost dark outside!
