i think chinese qipao dresses, even the proper non-revealing ones, are still way too sexualized and flamboyant. they’re honestly not that attractive at all — the cut is super boxy, the silhouette is unflattering, and they’re not really conducive for actual work or movement.
therefore, i believe the best outfits for women are those which are plain, modest and practical. i don’t believe even the simplest qipao qualifies as one.
