well, as a machinist, I see what is being built because I make equipment for everyone.
Right now there is no slow machine shops, with many more popping up out of nowhere. I have a couple friends that I am helping them get started with some very fancy expensive manufacturing equipment.
There is a chip manufacturing facility I sometimes make replacement parts for, X-Fab, who makes computer systems for cars and other things.
